BridgeHealth now includes in-home physical therapy (PT) provided by virtual musculoskeletal (MSK) care provider SWORD Health, it announces in a news release.

SWORD Health’s clinical-grade virtual PT solution delivers both measurable quality outcomes and affordable, high-quality care for BridgeHealth Members. Those Members who need surgery will have access to SWORD Health’s virtual prehab/rehab support, further improving surgical outcomes and reducing complications and return to work timeframes.

Members with MSK-related issues such as lower back, shoulder, or neck pain may also, through virtual physical therapy, avoid surgery and better manage their pain. SWORD Health’s virtual therapy platform pairs expert, licensed physical therapists with FDA-listed wearable technology to guide Members through personalized treatment plans in the safety and convenience of their own homes.

“We know many MSK surgeries can be avoided altogether through effective physical therapy, and those surgeries that are necessary and appropriate have better outcomes when patients adhere to a quality physical therapy regimen. Our new partnership with SWORD Health empowers our Members to achieve superior outcomes on their terms.”

— Jamie Hall, president and CEO at BridgeHealth

“We are honored to partner with a forward thinking company like BridgeHealth. Virtual physical therapy has great power to help anyone overcome pain and musculoskeletal conditions without the need for imaging, surgeries or medication. This partnership means Members will be able to receive the very best musculoskeletal care along every stage of their journey.”
