TeachAids announces a new partnership with USA Wrestling, the national governing body for the sport in the United States. Together, they will distribute CrashCourse Concussion Education to athletes, parents and coaches throughout the country.
CrashCourse is an education initiative to provide the latest medical knowledge about the prevention and treatment of concussions. Developed alongside leading medical, education, engineering, and science researchers and with input from coaches and student athletes, CrashCourse offers a unique educational experience that helps correct common myths and misconceptions to help better recognize and address symptoms of a concussion.
Because wrestling is a high impact sport, it is important to understand the signs and symptoms of a concussion, and how to respond if a concussion has been sustained. In an effort to promote positive health and safety, USA Wrestling will be including the CrashCourse content on their website to educate their larger community, according to a media release.

“It is exciting to see wrestlers gain better awareness and understanding surrounding concussions,” adds two-time US Olympian and 2008 Olympic Wrestling Coach, Kerry McCoy.
“USA Wrestling is excited to partner with TeachAids and their team of experts in the field of concussion,” notes Rich Bender, USA Wrestling Executive Director. “This partnership will not only provide a valuable resource for our coaches and officials, but it is also another critical step towards ensuring the safety of our athletes at all levels, both in practice and in competition.”
“It’s been an incredible experience to work with USA Wrestling to institute CrashCourse concussion education into their programming. The leadership they have exhibited to make their sport safer is an example for all,” Dr Piya Sorcar, Founder and CEO of TeachAids comments, the release continues.
