A webinar available through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Learning Center is intended to offer attendees insight into opening a new cash-based clinic or integrating cash-based services within their existing businesses.

The “Eliminate Uncertainty: Integrating Cash-Based Services into Your Practice” webinar is scheduled to be held April 16 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm ET.

The webinar is intended to provide practical guidance centered on developing a cash-based strategy, while identifying the considerations and benefits of the cash-based model. The Learning Center website notes that cost effective custom marketing tools using technology will also be discussed.

Objectives for the webinar include recognizing key attributes necessary to succeeding in operating a cash-based program; identifying the steps necessary to get started; describing effective strategies for branding and marketing; and identifying how physical therapy services can enhance value for the patient, community, and healthcare system as a whole. Additionally, attendees will gain an understanding of regulations linked to a cash-based program.

Webinar presenter Aaron LeBauer, PT, DPT, LMBT, earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Elon University in 2008. He has specialized in myofascial release since 2000, is an instructor with the John F. Barnes MFR Seminars, and has recently developed continuing education seminars for health professionals in Functional Myofascial Therapy. The site notes that in 2005, LeBauer and his wife, Andra, opened LeBauer Physical Therapy LLC, a 100% cash-based physical therapy practice in Greensboro, NC. LeBauer Physical Therapy is a holistic physical therapy practice specializing in myofascial release, manual physical therapy, massage therapy, and private yoga instruction.
