Boston-based Tekscan Inc announces the release of SportsAT 2.0 software, designed for therapists to conduct balance and concussion assessments.

Among the functions that sports medicine clinicians, physical therapists, and researchers can perform include objective baseline and postinjury tests, injury risk determinations, asymmetry identifications, and progress evaluations.

The software includes a built-in Balance Compass to aid in rehabilitation and track progress.

‘The initial release of SportsAT was aimed at bringing objectivity to baseline and post-injury concussion assessments through automated Balance Error Scoring System (BESS) calculations and automated Sports Concussion Assessment Tool – 3rd Edition (SCAT3™). Now with the addition of the Balance Compass, we are providing users a complete solution for assessments and rehabilitation,” says Peter Gantchev, product manager, Medical Division at Tekscan, in a media release from the company.
