Dimitrios Kostopoulos, PT, PhD, DSc, and Konstantine Rizopoulos, DPT, MCMT, co-founders of HOS, aimed to create a means of education that creates a standard level of instruction and practice while also flexible for working professionals.

Kostopoulos, says, “The HOS Hybrid concept is designed to provide flexibility in learning without compromising the practical experience that is so necessary for a manual therapy course.” The HOS news release notes that education participants can study at their own pace and schedule while still getting the clinical practical experience necessary, especially in courses of manual therapy. The regional Practical Workshops are located throughout the US. Overall, the Hybrid system is designed to be tailored to a person’s schedule and specific needs.

The HOS news release indicates that receiving MCMT certification with the Hybrid education system includes the following steps: taking the online portion of the class; attend a 1-day Practical Workshop for each course completed, which includes problem-based and evidence-based experiences; and taking the final review course with the final exam.
