The Safer Pain Relief Summit, sponsored by Performance Health, Warrenville, Ill, is a weekend-long CEU course covering instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, kinesiology taping, and therapeutic exercise to restore the human movement system while delivering research-proven pain relief.
Up to 14 CEUs are available for physical therapists, occupational therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and athletic trainers who attend the 3-day summit.
Each of the 3-day summits include a keynote address, an overview of Performance Health’s Safer Pain Relief program, and hands-on training with tools that are best used for non-pharmacological pain management, according to a media release from Performance Health.
“As an industry partner across numerous healthcare professions, we recognize the effort each discipline is making in the fight against opioid addiction,” says Paul Timko, vice president, Performance Health, in the release.
“However, we also see an opportunity to advance the cause by bringing a variety of hands-on healthcare professionals together to share successes, best practices and build a broader community. These summits do just that.”
The next Safer Pain Relief Summits in 2018 will be held in Baltimore (August 10-12) and Chicago (September 14-16).
