MedRisk International Scientific Advisory Board member Jane Fedorcyzk, PT, PhD, CHT, has been elected president of the Academy of Hand and Upper Extremity Physical Therapy, a specialty group within the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Fedorczyk, a certified hand therapist with expertise in pain management and hand and upper extremity rehabilitation, is a professor of physical therapy and rehabilitation services at the University of South Florida in Tampa. She is also a past president of the American Society of Hand Therapists, per a media release from King of Prussia, Pa-based MedRisk.
She earned her PhD in physical therapy from Temple University in Philadelphia and has received several honors, including the R.L. Petzoldt Award for Innovation in Hand Therapy. She is also an author and frequent presenter at professional conferences, the release adds.
