Hinge Health and Carrum Health announce a partnership and unveil a fully integrated, end-to-end digital musculoskeletal (MSK) solution designed for employers.
The new solution combines Hinge Health’s patient-centered Digital MSK Clinic with Carrum Health’s technology-powered Centers of Excellence (COE) platform to offer employers an affordable and complete clinical care model.
Combined Solution
It boasts a seamless, single-login and access to the following, according to a news release:
- Digital physical therapy, health coaching for behavioral change, long-lasting pain management technology, pre- and post-operative care, concierge provider navigation, and low cost, high quality surgery.
- A unified clinical care team that guides members through evidence-based MSK care pathways resulting in reduced MSK cost and fewer surgeries.
- A care model designed to improve clinical outcomes including pain reduction, improved mental health and fewer hospital readmissions.
Those who purchase both Hinge Health and Carrum Health will gain access to MSK surgery bundles, free of administrative costs, which are covered by Hinge Health through December 2022. Additionally, they will have preferred pricing on Carrum’s other bundles across cardiovascular, bariatrics, and cancer. The integrated solution will provide all of this on top of streamlined contracting, operations, and member experiences.
“By integrating Carrum’s MSK surgery bundle into our product, we will provide not only a seamless member experience but also fantastic cost savings for employers.”
— Daniel Perez, CEO and co-founder of Hinge Health
“Carrum is thrilled to bring a fully integrated solution to market and pair our MSK surgery bundles with Hinge Health’s market-leading Digital MSK Clinic. Now, regardless of where patients are in their MSK journey, they can focus on improving their health and rest easy knowing they will have the best-quality care in a seamless experience.”

Preferred Status on Evernorth
In a separate news release, Hinge Health announces it has earned preferred status on the Evernorth Digital Health Formulary. Evernorth is a health services business of Cigna Corporation and parent company to Express Scripts, a pharmacy benefit manager.
“Poor patient outcomes and costs associated with musculoskeletal conditions are a leading concern among our clients. Engaging patients earlier in their journey to manage joint and muscle conditions can help reduce chronic pain, alleviate costly procedures, and achieve cost savings for both the patient and the plan. Preferring Hinge Health’s solution on our Digital Health Formulary makes access to this type of engagement affordable and simple for health plans and employers.”
— Mark Bini, chief patient experience officer, Evernorth
“Hinge Health is thrilled to have emerged from Evernorth’s rigorous year-long evaluation process as their preferred digital MSK solution. With Hinge Health and Evernorth, members will experience the most accessible, easiest to use and most clinically effective MSK solution on the market.”
— Daniel Perez, Hinge Health’s co-founder and CEO
