SimpleCEUs, in partnership with Canine Assisted Therapy Inc, offers “Implementation of Animal-Assisted Therapy Programs,” an online course for physical therapists and physical therapy assistants.

This online self-study course teaches physical therapists and physical therapy assistants about the human-animal bond and helps them to develop animal-assisted therapy programs in their practices, according to a media release from SimpleCEUs.

The course’s instructors are Suzanne Gasse, MBA, PT, ATC, CSCS, and Debra Berger, co-founder and chairman of the board at Canine Assisted Therapy Inc.

Visit SimpleCEUs for registration information and the number of CCUs available per state, as well as course goals.

SimpleCEUs is donating a portion of the proceeds from this course to local nonprofits that provide animal-assisted therapy teams to their communities, according to the release.
