Louisville, Ky-based NeuroRecovery Training Institute (NeuroRTI) announces in a media release that it will be offering a Certification in Neurological Clinical Practice program beginning January 11, 2016.

The release states that the 7-month Postprofessional program is designed to help physical therapists and clinician scientists advance their clinical practice techniques and decision-making for the management of patients with neurological disorders.

The program is also designed for those seeking board certification who prefer not to complete a residency requiring mentorship hours, or for those who wish to provide better evidence-based care, the release continues.

“Case examples, both live and video, will promote discussion of clinical decision-making, progression, and tailoring the environment to be developmentally appropriate and successful,” says Program Director Kim Atkinson, PT, NCS, in the release.

Course instructors will include Mary Thigpen, PT, DPT, PhD; Jane E. Sullivan, PT, DHS, MS; Mary Massery, PT, DPT, DSc; Timothy W. Flynn, PT, PhD; Michael Furtado, PT, DPT, NCS; and Jennifer Fernandez, PT, DPT, NCS, PCS, among others.
