Clinical education and patient engagement software provider MedBridge has released an online Neurological Clinical Specialist (NCS) Prep Program designed to help prepare PTs to take the board certification exam.

The self-guided NCS Prep Program includes more than 45 CEU courses, as well as recommended readings, case studies, and simulated exams to teach the key principles of neurologic practice. Easy-to-use dashboards allow users to track their progress through the program and identify specific areas of strength and weakness with over 300 test questions that match the Neurologic Description of Specialty Practice (DSP). The learning process can be arranged to follow a structured 20-week program or customized to a user’s schedule, according to MedBridge in a media release.

“We’re excited to add the NCS Prep Program to our Certification Prep suite. Our goal is to provide clinicians with a unique opportunity to earn their CEUs while taking the next step in their career,” says MedBridge’s chief content officer, Andrew Mickus, in the release.

“We worked with top neurology specialists like Karen McCulloch, PT, PhD, MS, NCS and Mary Beth Osborne, PT, DPT, NCS to design a comprehensive and engaging learning experience that will prepare clinicians for success with NCS Board Certification,” he adds.

The NCS Prep Program is included at no additional cost in the MedBridge annual subscription. Subscription start at $250 per year for physical therapists.

The NCS board certification exam is issued by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
