Healthcare providers in the San Antonio region will have the opportunity to attend a 2-day, advanced, comprehensive training course centered on Manual Therapy for Lumbar Spine Pathology. The seminar, hosted by Hands-On Seminars and led by Kevin Okamura, PT, FCAMPT, MCMT, is slated for September 27 to 28 in San Antonio.

According to a Hands-On Seminars news release, the seminar is designed to teach the most successful approaches for the evaluation and treatment of mechanically induced lower back pain. Participants will learn advanced diagnostic and treatment techniques for low back pain and will also have the opportunity to participate in extensive lab sessions. The release adds that instruction includes the use of advanced multimedia methods. The material is appropriate for PTs, PTAs, OTs, OTAs, LMTs, ATCs, and physicians. A total of 16.8 CEUs are available upon completion of the course.

Course instructor Okamura is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy. The release notes that Okamura has acted as trainer for a variety of amateur sports teams, has an interest in all areas of orthopedics, and serves as a clinical instructor with the University of Alberta.
