The Mastery Certification in Manual Therapy (MCMT) continuing education program presented by Hands-On Seminars is designed to offer expanded study and clinical practicum in widely used areas of manual therapy. According to a Hands-On Seminars news release, the curriculum of this course is flexible and intended for the working professional, and can be completed in as little as 2 years. Hands-On Seminars also allows two of the courses to be completed in home as Home Study courses and still be eligible to complete the Mastery Certification in Manual Therapy.

The Hands-on Seminars news release indicates that the course is offered with two different delivery methods. With one method, the student does the full course live by taking the five 2-day courses culminating in the final 2-day MCMT course. With the second delivery method, a hybrid learning approach, a physical therapist takes the five courses online, completing each with a 1-day workshop. The benefit of the hybrid approach is that students can learn at their own pace and schedule.

The MCMT continuing education course offers physical therapists several different strategies. The course is designed to increase a clinician’s success and efficacy in diagnosing and treating the number of orthopedic problems encountered in clinical practice. Participants must complete 20 credit units in addition to pass the written and lab exam to receive the mastery certification.
