Education Resources Inc, headquartered in Medfield, Mass, offers a new continuing education course to teach strategies and techniques to address symptoms experienced by patients recovering from brain injuries.
Called “Brain Injury Rehabilitation: Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Concussion Syndrome,” the course is recommended for occupational therapists and assistants, physical therapists and assistants, speech language pathologists, teachers, psychologists, counselors, and social workers.
Upon course completion, participants will be able to identify neurophysiological correlates of symptoms of post brain injury and symptoms, functional implications, and strategy options that may be customized to client need, explains a media release from Education Resources Inc.
The instructor, Shari Woelke, is an occupational therapist. Her practice, Woelke Occupational Therapy, based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, targets brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, learning, and emotional disorders.
The course will take place at Allina Commons in Minneapolis on December 5-6, 2015; at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital in Richmond, Va on December 11-12, 2015; and at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, NY on January 29-30, 2016, per the release.
