Online education provider Career Step announces a new Physical Therapy Aide program designed to be completed in 4 months.

The 275-hour curriculum aims to teach students how to keep a physical therapy facility running smoothly as they interact with patients and medical personnel.

Among the topics are Microsoft Office skills, the duties of a physical therapy aide, and anatomy and pathophysiology.

Upon graduation, students will receive a voucher to take the Certified Physical Therapy Aide Specialist (CPTAS) exam offered through the National Career Certification Board (NCCB).

“We are excited to offer our new Physical Therapy Aide program for students interested in starting careers in this fast-growing field,” says Steve Tober, Career Step president and CEO, in a media release. “Career Step’s mission is focused on helping students gain job skills quickly and affordably so they can begin rewarding careers in the healthcare industry.”

“We provide education that enables our students to change their lives,” adds Ben Hartman, Career Step vice president of enrollments, in the release. “We are excited for this new program as it will provide an additional avenue within healthcare for our students to work directly with patients. They will have another option when they decide which career path is right for them, their families and their career goals.”
