An upcoming webinar presented by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) Learning Center will discuss the implementation of the new ICD-10 diagnostic codes. The federal government has mandated that the ICD-10 be implemented by October 1, 2014. As such, the course will provide a brief update on the history of the ICD-10 and also detail how it is different from ICD-9.

The webinar will also help attendees understand how they will be affected by this new change, as well as provide participants instructions on how to prepare for the transition through case studies and active audience participation.

The educational webinar will be on March 27 and is free for APTA members. Non-members are also welcome to participate for a fee. Joseph Nichols, MD, and Janet Albanese, PT, MPT, MHA, will be the presenters for this online seminar. To view a full course description or to register, visit www.apta.org.
