In a company news release, Patterson Medical, Warrenville, Ill, announced its entry into an exclusive distribution agreement in North America with Conshohocken, Pa-based HawkGrips to distribute soft-tissue therapy instruments. The release adds that under the terms of the agreement, effective January 1, Patterson Medical retains exclusive distribution rights in the rehabilitation supply market for 5 years.
The release notes that HawkGrips instruments are designed to provide precise edges to detect and treat conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, lower back pain, joint sprains, runner’s knee, tendonitis, and other conditions. The products aim to help enhance range of motion and promote faster rehabilitation and recovery.
In the release, Brant Nave, Patterson Medical senior director of Marketing, classifies the timing of the partnership as “pivotal,” in light of the reported rise in demand for instrument-assisted soft-tissue mobilization (IASTM) products and training.
“We are excited to enter into a partnership with this premium technology that more and more therapists are using to identify and treat soft-tissue injuries. HawkGrips therapy improves patient outcomes while reducing stress on therapists,” Nave says.
Frank Osborne, HawkGrips president, adds that the company’s ultimate goal centers on improving “patient outcomes, which aligns with Patterson Medical’s commitment to provide healthcare professionals with access to products that improve the lives of their patients. Through this distribution agreement, we are excited for our instruments to reach more clinicians.”
