Inactivity can drive anyone a little stir-crazy. But for people with Parkinson’s disease, exercise is critical — and for those who kick and shimmy in a program called Dance Through Parkinson’s, the switch to virtual classes keeps everyone in motion.

“It’s all about aesthetics, it’s all about the movement and feeling good and feeling beautiful,” says Rachelle Smith-Stallman, who leads the sessions, in a Times Union profile about her program.
