Nautilus Inc has been presented the 2015 Red Dot Design Award for the design and innovation of its Bowflex Max Trainer, according to a company news release. The release adds that it is the second international design title the product has received since its launch in 2014.

The release notes that the BowFlex Max Trainer stood out thanks to several design criteria that included its innovation, functionality, ergonomics, and durability.

The release notes that the Bowflex Max Trainer is an all-in-one cardio machine built to combine the power of an elliptical and stair stepper to create a full-body workout. Users are able to track workouts using a free downloadable app for their smartphone. There is also an option to sync data with the Google Fit and Apple Health platforms.

Tom Moran, vice president of product development, Nautilus Inc, designates the Red Dot Award as a “demonstration of our focus on creating fitness solutions to help our customers reach their goals.”

The release notes that the Bowflex Max trainer also took first place in the Outdoor and Exercise Equipment Category of the 2014 International Design Awards (IDA).
