Hocoma’s Valedo, a novel medical device and gaming platform built to assist patients with back pain in achieving sustained back health, has been named a 2015 CES Innovation Awards Honoree in the wearable technologies category. A news release issued by Hocoma states that the CES Innovation Awards, sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), is an annual competition intended to honor outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products.

Valedo is a wearable medical device designed to address low back pain, integrating physical sensors with software built to be sophisticated and intuitive in order to motivate and guide users through interactive exercises. Valedo is intended to help users enhance movement awareness for increased stability and balance, restore motion to vertebral joints, and redevelop deep muscles for enhanced strength.
