Empower Physical Therapy has announced the acquisition of Spectrum Therapy Consultants (STC), located in El Paso, Texas. Founder-owner, Sandra Terrazas, PT, MBA, is an El Paso native and established STC in 2006 to provide contract therapy services to the local community. STC became further entrenched in the market through the development of outpatient clinics and now operates seven locations across the El Paso metropolitan area.
Spectrum Therapy Consultants provides outpatient physical therapy services using a hands-on, individualized approach. According to a company statement, STC is focused on delivering quality therapy care through dedicated teams serving the specific needs of each patient. These personalized treatments assist patients recovering from a range of health issues, including pain, orthopedic and neuromuscular problems, joint issues, post-operative conditions, and sports- and work-related injuries.
“Spectrum Therapy Consultants has an outstanding reputation for providing access to exceptional care in the El Paso community, which makes the team an incredible addition to the Empower Physical Therapy family,” says Empower Physical Therapy CEO and Physical Therapist Steve DiPaola. “We look forward to working with Sandra and the Spectrum Therapy team as we expand access to patient-centered care in West Texas and other core markets.”
Sandra Terrazas, speaking for the entire Spectrum Therapy Consultants family, says, “It’s an exciting time to partner with Empower to promote the private practice sector of our physical therapy profession. We share the same philosophy on providing an exceptional patient experience and will benefit greatly from Empower’s established infrastructure as we grow our practice footprint throughout the region.” Terrazas will continue to serve as a practice leader in her new role as the West Texas Director of Operations.
With the addition of Spectrum Therapy Consultants, therapist-founded and -led Empower Physical Therapy now operates 53 clinics across Arizona, California, Louisiana, and Texas.
