In a company news release, AlterG, headquartered in Fremont, Calif, announced that it has joined with Physical Therapy Provider Network (PTPN) in an effort to provide key benefits and educational information to network members. The release notes that the partnership will provide PTPN members the opportunity to receive education about AlterG technology, in addition to insights into branding and marketing their business.

The alliance reportedly comes during a time in which AlterG is working to continue to build a nationwide referral program. The program is designed to allow patients across the US access an AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill through a physical therapy clinic, hospital rehab gym, or older adult facility, without doctor referral.

According to the release, PTPN’s physical, occupational, and speech therapists have expertise in a variety of scenarios, ranging from getting injured workers well and back to work, to assisting patients during recovery from conditions such as stroke, cancer, and heart disease. Its partnership with AlterG is intended to allow therapists to assist a wide variety of patients with acute or chronic conditions that impact their mobility and coordination, using tools such as the Anti-Gravity Treadmill and Bionic Leg.

Gabriel Griego, AlterG vice president of Marketing, articulates the company’s excitement regarding the partnership with PTPN, as well as “the opportunity to educate and assist physical therapists and clinics across the nation. We are invested in the continued growth and success of physical therapy as a key pillar of wellness for millions of Americans. By partnering with PTPN we’re striving to ensure that patients and consumers can be confident that they are receiving the best treatment and assistance possible.”

The release notes that to date, the partnership encompasses clinics in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas.
