The FREEDOM Resting Hand Mitt Splint made by AliMed, Dedham, Mass, is a lightweight splint designed to correctly support the arches of hand and the thenar web space. The splint is engineered to maintain the MP joints in approximately 80 degrees of flexion to protect future hand function. The FREEDOM splint accommodates the patient with edema. The splint is available in small, medium, or large sizes for the right or left hand.
