PAINWeek 2017, the 11th annual gathering of healthcare professionals, residents, and students on the front line of pain education and management, will take place September 5 to 9 at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

More than 2,300 are expected to attend, and more than 100 exhibitors will be participating in the Exhibit Hall.

The PAINWeek curriculum encompasses more than 120 CE/CME course hours, enabling attendees to earn up to 35.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

An addition to the curriculum for 2017 is a new track highlighting the importance of wound care, which will take place on September 9. Sessions will include: “Insult to Injury: Wound and Other Pains in a Wound Care Patient,” which will review the many cause of pain related to different wound conditions; and “Woundology: The Spectrum of Reasons Why the Epithelium Gets Lost,” which will highlight major causes of wounds and review common-sense ways to make a diagnosis and decide whether to treat or refer.
