Recent openings and acquisitions, according to separate news releases from Professional Physical Therapy, include a new location in Ridgewood, NJ, and the acquisition of Accelerated Hand Therapy and Rehabilitation.

The Ridgewood, NJ, opening represents the 14th Professional Physical Therapy clinic serving patients in Bergen County. It is also the practice’s 39th in New Jersey and its 109th overall.

With the acquisition of Accelerated Hand Therapy and Rehabilitation, Professional Physical Therapy gains six new occupational and hand specialty clinics in Parsippany, Hackensack, Somerset, Morristown, Union, and West Orange, New Jersey.

The practice notes in the release that its Hand and Occupational Therapy program is the largest in the Tri-State area.

“As a life long Bergen County resident, I am thrilled to be directly involved in bringing our wide array of patient focused services to the Village of Ridgewood,” says Jeff De Bellis, vice president of clinical operations in New Jersey, regarding the new location, in the release.

“The acquisition of Accelerated Hand Therapy and Rehabilitation has taken our rapidly growing Hand and Occupational Therapy program to the next level,” adds De Bellis, in a separate media release regarding the acquisition.

“Our patients with hand and upper extremity injuries will continue to benefit from the knowledge, training and expertise of our combined team of Hand Therapists, now at even more locations. With such a high demand for this niche specialty, I’m proud that we are able to provide the North and Central New Jersey communities access to specialized Hand Therapy treatment from 16 locations,” he adds.
