Professional Physical Therapy announces the acquisition of Kassimir Hand Therapy, led by Joanne Kassimir, OTR, CHT, expanding its availability of hand therapy services on Long Island.
This is Uniondale, NY-based ProfessionalPT’s fifth acquisition in 2018. It currently operates 175 physical, occupational, and hand therapy clinics throughout the Northeastern area of the United States.
“I’m very excited to begin the next chapter of my career with the Professional team,” says Kassimir, who specializes in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation, custom orthotics, and splint fabrication, in a media release.
She is also a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association, New York State Occupational Therapy Association (NYSOTA), American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT), and American Association for Hand Surgery.
“Joining this growing company will allow us to offer expanded occupational and hand therapy services, along with continued physical therapy expertise and services. In addition, our patients will benefit from upgraded technology and enhanced communications,” she adds.
