David Melchiorri, a staff physical therapist at ProEx Physical Therapy’s Waltham, Mass location, has earned designation as a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.

This designation has come following Melchiorri’s completion of a 1-year Fellowship Training program offered through Boston University’s College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College. The program is designed to prepare physical therapists to serve as direct access providers in the outpatient orthopaedic setting, according to a media release from ProEx Physical Therapy.

Mike Mulrenan, CEO of ProEx Physical Therapy, congratulates Melchiorri for completing the fellowship program. “Physical therapy has gained acceptance as a cost-effective option for treatment in the orthopedic sector of health care,” he says in the release.
