US Physical Therapy, a company that operates outpatient physical therapy clinics, has named Edward L. Kuntz to its board of directors. According to a US Physical Therapy news release, Kuntz has been elected to the company’s Board of Directors expanding the size of the board to 11 members. From 1999 to 2014, Kuntz served as the former chairman of Kindred Healthcare and its chief executive officer from 1999 to 2004.

Kindred Healthcare is a diversified provider of post-acute services in the United States.

In addition, Kuntz served as director of Rotech Healthcare and American Electric Technologies, Inc. Kuntz is also an operating partner in Sentinel Capital Partners, a private equity firm.

US Physical Therapy, founded in 1990, operates 491 outpatient physical and occupational therapy clinics in 42 states. The company also manages 17 physical therapy facilities for third parties, including physician groups and hospitals. The clinics operated by US Physical Therapy provide preventative and post-operative care for a variety of orthopedic-related disorders and sports-related injuries.
