Philip McClure, PT, PhD, FAPTA, the vice president of Expert Clinical Benchmarks at MedRisk, King of Prussia, Pa, has recently received the Paris Distinguished Service Award.

Presented by the Orthopaedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association(APTA), the award honors members whose contributions to the section are “of exceptional and enduring value.” As part of the honor, McClure also gave a presentation at APTA’s Combined Section Meeting.

“We are proud of Phil and his work to continually improve physical therapy treatment,” says Mary O’Donoghue, chief clinical and product officer for MedRisk, in a media release.

McClure oversees all clinical aspects of the company’s programs. In addition, he leads its International Scientific Advisory Board and maintaining MedRisk’s evidence-based guidelines for physical medicine.

He is also a professor and the Chair of Physical Therapy at Arcadia University and has chaired the APTA Orthopaedic Section’s Research Committee. His research has included laboratory and clinical studies related to scapular dysfunction and rotator cuff disorders.
