The Art & Science of Cueing, offered by OPTP, Minneapolis, looks at various methods of information transfer for teaching proper movement.

Movement educator Eric Franklin, creator of the Franklin Method, wrote the book to help yoga, Pilates, dance, and fitness instructors fine-tune their teaching skills. Topics include understanding the movement modality, assessing students’ comprehension levels, and using anatomical imagery and metaphorical cues.

In addition, the author explains vivid cues—both verbal and noverbal—to help instructors incorporate them and help students develop their skills. Illustrations and photographs further explain the concepts.
