The low-profile brace is made of 1.4-millimeter-thick Kuhl perforated neoprene material to increase breathability while maintaining the multiuse features of the original Shields Hinged Brace. The product features removable biaxial hinges that provide additional medial and lateral stability, as well as independent calf and thigh straps that adjust to the contours of the leg. The Shields II Hinged Knee Brace also features a low-profile Trakaderm u-shaped buttress that allows for treatment of multiple patella indications and a popliteal panel, which is made from a sueded Lycra fabric for comfort.
