Jess Barsotti, a clinic manager of ProEx Physical Therapy’s Boston location in the Financial District, has recently earned the designation as Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists.

He earned this designation after completing a 1-year Fellowship Training course provided through Boston University’s (BU) College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College.

The Fellowship Training program, designed to develop expert practitioners in orthopaedic manual physical therapy, features a combination of skills training and clinical mentoring. Much of the skills training is provided in BU’s laboratory.

Mike Mulrenan, CEO of ProEx Physical Therapy, congratulates Barsotti for completing the fellowship program.

“Physical therapy has gained acceptance as a cost-effective option for treatment in the orthopedic sector of health care,” Mulrenan says, in the release. “We are on the cutting edge as direct access providers by delivering physical therapy services that achieve optimal clinical outcomes at the lowest cost.”
