Bioness Inc announces that its Vector Gait and Safety System has received an expanded Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certification to accommodate up to 500 pounds of patient weight.

This expanded certification now allows Bioness to provide therapeutic support to a broader patient population and to support weight loss and bariatric clinics aiding in the recovery of neurologic and orthopedic patients, according to a media release from Bioness.

“We are proud to offer our industry leading Vector Gait and Safety System technology to a larger audience of clinical experts,” shares Todd Cushman, president and CEO of Valencia, Calif-based Bioness, in the release.

“By demonstrating its versatility to accommodate an expanded patient population we are well-suited to continue our market leading position by bringing the highest quality of technology into the hands of the very best clinical experts,” he adds.

The Vector Gait and Safety System is used to help increase patient mobility while preventing falls and injury. For more information, visit Bioness.
