The Foundation for Physical Therapy (FPT) has announced that tickets are now available for its 35th Anniversary Gala in Charlotte, NC, on June 12, 2014. The annual event will take place during the NEXT Conference & Exposition of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). According to information from the FPT, the gala will recognize leaders supporting physical therapy research, which will include colleagues as well as students from colleges and universities across the US.
The recipients of the FPT’s Foundation Service Awards who will be honored at the gala include: Magistro Family Foundation (Spirit of Philanthropy Award); Alan M. Jette, PT, PhD, FAPTA (Charles M. Magistro Distinguished Service Award); Private Practice Section (Premier Partner in Research Award); and the Illinois Physical Therapy Association’s Student Special Interest Group (Innovation in Fundraising Award).
In addition to honoring the foundation service award winners, the gala will commemorate 35 years of Foundation efforts to support physical therapy research. A news release from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) notes that Tickets are $150 for individuals and $100 for students, and include dinner. Table sponsorships are also available for $2,000 and include 10 tickets. Tickets can be purchased when registering for the NEXT conference online or by calling (877) 585-6003.
