Stowe, Vt-based KneeBinding offers a way to reportedly help prevent ACL tears and knee injuries during skiing.

According to the company’s website, the KneeBinding alpine binding is engineered with a lateral heel release that ejects the boot once too much rear-weighted force (reportedly the most common cause of ACL injuries in skiing) is applied.

The bindings also feature leverage, edge-grip, and retention; as well as elasticity, cantilevered brakes, configurable ramp delta, precision toe height, a stable boot platform, a wide mounting platform, and a floating mount system for “flat” skis, per the website.
